In all reality, he didn't get the memo that PJ was as WMU.

Not possible. Mom wants him at a bigger program than what anyone in the MAC can offer. I predict he'll either end up at DePaul, Missouri, N.C. State, or Illinois.

Also, I thought there was a rule that you could not get a scholarship if you transferred within a conference.

I think each conference has their own rules for that sort of thing.

Right. And the article said they gave him his "unconditional release" so I was wondering!

Darius Paul headed to Illinois

Darius Paul went to WMU because he went to high school with then WMU assistant, Larry Farmer daughter at Warren HS.. Highly possible Paul & Farmer's daughter had a 'relationship'. Farmer left WMU for NC State just b4 the season started last yr. That is the coaching change mentioned in the story. Paul's mama calls all the shots. SHE was even his AAU coach. She figured her son could play at a major & correctly so. He is a talent. However, with Paul, WMU would have been the MAC favorite. Not even close. They lost no one important off a team that won 22 games. Would have been a legit sweet 16 contender. Is too bad he didnt at least wait 1 more yr.

So if I read that right they are bringing in 8 new players? Looking at this roster the only had 11 with 3 seniors?

Some how that math doesn't work out.

Illinois had 4 seniors (McLaurin's GS = grad student) and have had 3 kids transfer out. They also had 1 open scholarship all year, so that makes 8 spots for the 5 incoming freshman, the 5th year transfer from ISU, and the 2 other incoming transfers from Seton Hall and WMU.
