WMU's Darius Paul Transferring
WMU announced yesterday that MAC Freshman of the Year, Power Forward, Darius Paul is transferring from the program. Paul, a high school teammate of the Rocket's Nathen Boothe said he didn't have any problems with the coaches or players but wanted something different. Without Paul, WMU loses a major force in the paint that should benefit the Rockets next season who should be one of the favorites in the MAC along with the Broncos.

John Groce pilfers Paul from Steve Hawkins - that should make. Then again if Paul was leaving anyway maybe Hawkins gave it his blessing... or not.

Contacting another school's players is very poor form, in my opinion, unless the player has already expressed an intention to leave. I hope Paul is a dud at Illinois, just as Ziegler was at Pitt. We need to keep some talent in the MAC.
