I read your poem and I feel your pain. It took me about three years to completely come to grips that my father is gone. I pray that your pain leaves sooner.

thx fellas. Wolfman, could you rephrase your last two sentences. I don't want my response to be wrong twisting what you're saying an inadvertently say the wrong thing.

RE: OT: Life isn't Fair
Joey:
My Dad died of lung cancer. So did one of my older brothers and his wife. I know and understand the devastation and suffering that entails.
As the youngest child of a Mom who (still alive and going on 97) had ten older brothers and sisters and a Dad who had ten brothers and sisters, I have attended a lot of funerals of people who were close to me and were like my surrogate parents growing up (they all lived nearby).
My other brother died of a heart attack. So, after losing a Dad, two brothers, a sister-in-law and 20 aunts/uncles, I am familiar with death, loss and grief.
The only thing that I can tell you is that there are no answers other than to keep on living and to live the type of life that will honor your Mom's memory.
Time has a way of diminishing (not entirely, but some) the pain and sense of loss.
Those things fade with time. The pain diminishes but the good memories and love remains forever.
That is my wish for you. Take care, man.

Joey, I've lost aunts, uncles, cousins & a wonderful sister-in-law to cancer over the past ten years. I have had a brother and cousin diagnosed with cancer and are in remission with it. I feel your pain but don't give up on life. Think of what your Mom would want you to do.

By no means am I giving up on life. Didn't want to it to be perceived that way. I'm never the type of person that talks about how I feel in a conversation. I let loose when I do art.

RE: OT: Life isn't Fair
I'll be honest I haven't read the poem as of yet, but get the general idea what it is about. To tell you the truth the pain never goes away it just gets smaller and easier to coup with as time goes by. The best thing believe it or not is just to talk about the ones we love that are no longer amongst us for that is how they live on. You will be amazed about some of the stories you will hear and share over the days, weeks, months and years, but the pain never goes away it just becomes easier to deal with.
