I'm hoping for a venture tour bus also for games at utep and utsa for football with a hotel package deal. Tickets aren't a problem at utsa they never ever sell out for home games. Utep is another story. I hope bruce starts posting games for the 2014 year. I know we aren't thru this one yet but so ready for the "big show". 2014 can't get here fast enough.
I'm wondering how many of the west conference fans will travel here when we play them?
Very few. ECU fans said they rarely ever got visiting fans. I think Marshall was pretty much the only program that brought any fans to Greenville.
Most fans like to make the most of their journey. In Charlotte, there's a lot of things to do. Attractions in Hampton Roads can keep visiting fans busy as well. ODU fans can spend a day skiing at Snow Shoe before heading to Huntington and a stop in Nashville before an MTSU game is a must.
In Greenville, there's Lou's Beach Bingo and the Golden Corral.
Eh I don't know about Snow Shoe before a Marshall game unless you mean doing it on two separate days and making it a weekend affair.
They are four hours apart. Snowshoe is in a part of the state where there aren't any major highways that cut across the state. You have 2+ hours on winding country roads. You would be better off skiing at WinterPlace in Beckley (although it is terrible compared to Snowshoe). It is on 64 and probably only around an hour and a half from Huntington.
Not sure when you guys will be visiting us next season, but if it is early in the season (before November), you should check out the US National White Water Center. It is the largest artificial white water river in the world. There is also flat water kayaking / paddle boarding, rock climbing, mountain biking, obstacle courses in the woods, and zip lines to enjoy. Not to mention a great beer selection and some pretty good food. A must see for anyone that comes to Charlotte.
I've been going to Snow Shoe for years so 4 hours is no big deal. Yeah, it would be a separate day event, then head to Huntington the next day. But it all depends on the snow conditions.
I've tied in skiing at Massanutten with a JMU BB game in Harrisonburg in the past.
That water center sounds like fun, but ODU fans aren't very active at all. They just sit on their butts all day and post on message boards. lol

Heck, if you do make those plans I'm a season ticket holder to snowshoe and go very often and I'd look into that round robin with ya.

When I was at UT (the real one in Knoxville), my buddies (usually 10 to 15 of us) and I would rent an RV for the long trips (Arkansas and Florida). The cost per person wasn't bad and definitely cheaper than traveling separately and renting hotels. Plus, you don't have to worry about putting a ton of miles on your own car.
