Now that it's safe to say
I guess realignment is over for now but I gotta offer a few thoughts:

1: Hopefully a lot of tensions that built up over the past year simmer down. Tons of us were friends on the Big East board and enjoyed talking about our teams and so on.

2: I really didn't feel that the ACC was as unstable as people tried to make it as. Yes Maryland did leave and sh*t happens. But if the FSU's and Clemson's was on their way out, they would've been gone last year. Now at the same time I'm still unsure if these GOR's really makes things more stable or not. If a school wants to leave, they'll use their lawyers to find cracks in the contract or just simply buy it out.

3: Can we get back to talking about the games again? Just felt like CR was the dominant topic of every forum that I visit. I've been burnt out for sometime and just miss talking sports. I think most is also burnt out as well but just continue the same old arguments.

4: This whole ACC will be left out of the playoffs unless this or that happens gotta stop. Yes looking back at the past 6,7, and 8 years that would've held true for the most part. But football is a cyclical sport. Who knows what the future holds. For all we know, the B1G is about to go on a 7 year run that is similar to the SEC while the PAC 12 falls behind everybody else. For all we know, you guys are right and the ACC will be left out most years. Its really up to the schools of the ACC to step their games up and compete with the big boys on the field. Everything else will take care of itself.

5: I'm never a fan of discussing mod issues in public but I'm open to freeing some members that butted heads in the past over CR. Some guys was great fans in the past and let CR get in the way. I'll PM bit and S11 on this issue in a little while.

6: Hopefully some of y'all don't leave this place now that CR is pretty much over. There are Conference forums that y'all are more than welcome to help get active. Or we can keep this forum as is and use it more for general sports n'sh*t. It really evolved into that for the most part anyways.

Happy Posting 04-bow

Joey

Realignment is just beginning for the non-FBS conferences.

Don't we still need a new team in the Sun Belt?

That's true but from past experience most here really never cares about D1AA or D2 realignment. And I don't see much going on w/ the MAC, or MWC. Maybe the Sun Belt adds a few more from D1AA.
