Any chance we could get Jim Cornelison to sing the National Anthem at Huskie Stadium. I go to every home game anyway, but I'd go just to see that.

I suggested that to Compher. He said Cornelison's fee was $3000 which was unaffordable for us.

Cornelison did sing the anthem at Soldier Field when we played Wisconsin in 2011. Wonder if he'd discount his fee for a college game?

Wow. Never heard Cornelison called a "copycat." Say what you want about his price, but he is phenomenal singing the anthem.

Dude can really sing but the way he always ends the song makes me completely nuts and ruins the whole thing for me. That's my problem. I'm just not a fan of people f***ing with the melody too much. It's our song not yours.

Really? That seems about right to me. Not saying we should pay it. Just that its about what i'd guess, at least.

Maybe show the words on the screen so the young fans can sing it like we used to do rather than just stand there sometimes remembering to remove your hat and letting out a yell while someone else is still singing a rendition. They did this in Boston the other day.That is what we used to do before it became a talent show.

We have a music program. Lets use it.

What does he do at the end? I also prefer a traditional version, and really dislike when singers add notes to it - leave the damn anthem alone.
