Nice effort to get the 3 in the 8th but couldn't we have done a better job in the 9th? 3 outs on 6 pitches. Let not work the count. I left early so not sure if these were well placed fastballs or what. But our approach bat the plate continues to frustrate.

I agree re. wasting Simms. It would be one thing if he was coming in to a tie or one-run game...but I just don't understand throwing him out there--even for a couple innings-- in a game we're already down by 3 or 4 runs.

You do realize John is probably going to start Sunday. Just like he did last weekend.

And he only went six innings and wasn't that sharp. We had to hang on as UCF closed with a rush.
