Which SBC team that is not already scheduled to join CUSA will add any value to the CUSA?

Again, I am not against the SBC. I want the conference to survive. I just don't feel any of the teams that are going to be left in it add any value at this time to CUSA.

Cajun I have guys and one girl contacting me and asking me to tick you off more often.

Please answer the question. Which team from The SBC that is not already coming to CUSA adds any value to the CUSA? Since I have asked the question about 5 times and no one has suggested an answer, I guess I am to assume the answer is none of them. And we know what "assuming" means.

Nobody has answered because it's a ridiculous question coming from a supposed fan of. A school that has yet to field a team. Add to that the schools you have put up as candidates are a joke. So might as well look at girls.

That's not the reason no one has answered the question! Please be bold enough to state the team from SBC that is not already schedule to move to CUSA that you believe would inprove CUSA.

And as I have stated over and over I am happy with staying at 14. I indicated I would rather have the teams I mentioned than anyone from the SBC, that I don't believe any team from SBC adds anything positive at this time to CUSA, and that I want the Sunbelt to survive. And as far as being a true fan, I have been, I am, & I will always be a Charlotte fan. That's why I was at the A10 BB tournament 2 out of the last three years.

I am a sports fan and try to follow sports. I have watched the National BB Champions pay during the regular season 3 years in a row from NYC to Louisville.

If you think Stony Brook or Buffalo add more value to CUSA than Arkansas State or Louisiana then I cant help you my friend. You live alone on a fantasy island of your own making.

Apologizing in advance for being an arse,,,but have to say it....

HUH?

If I could bold that text exponentially I would....I would rather watch paint dry.....sorry, someone had to say it....guessing by the time I get to the end of this thread, someone already has...

Stony Brook???...would have a better chance blindfolded throwing darts at a map trying to figure out where they are located....and I am googled out....

Can CUSA recruit Rodman as a liaison to the Ed McMahon threshold of the next invitee????

....sorry...the premise was shocking....I really am not trying to be mean, but sometimes the delete key is in limbo...

Dude - I'm not saying add those teams. I'm saying the guy who started the thread about them is crazy. Did you see the 01-wingedeagle

RE: SBC Teams have nothing tNew to offer CUSA
Here's what is hilarious to me about these "markets"... Every game is on national tv for the most part.

Cusa does NOT have a " big ten" type network that is trying to penetrate local cable companies to pick up the channel. They are on CBS and fox, which can be seen anywhere.

So the best schools to add are the ones with lots of support, both athletically by the administration and by fan support.

JMU EASILY measures up. We have bcs facilities and a large, rabid and growing fan base that will only get bigger as the school is now over 20,000 undergraduates and rising with almost all non-commuters. There is extreme loyalty from students and alum toward the school.

Further, should they need arise for more "local" tv support of any sort, despite what many odu fans and others might believe JMU WILL deliver Washington, D.C. TV to the league.

JMU has 30,000 alum in dc metro area. Odu has 1/3rd the alum in dc areas as JMU. Marshall probably has less.

Odu and Marshall alone will not get cusa in dc. But adding JMU to that mix will bring the dc local tv markets to the league, as well as a stronger presence in Richmond, the state capital of Virginia.

Adding those markets will be greater than any other school can deliver.

And as i mentioned, you get a school with great athletic support to boot.

No offense taken. Just pointing out I didn't make that comment since I keep seeing it carried through this thread.04-cheers

May be but on my island I fly to NYC catch a Broadway show, drive over and watch a Saturday game, go back to Little Italy and turn down Mullberry and eat Italian then afterwards walk down the street and grab some gelati and then catch a flight and fly home. Or I fly to Buffalo for a Thursday night game then drive over to Niagara Falls show my pass port and cross to the Canadian side grab a hotel on the 25th floor over looking the water.

But on your island I could go to Arkansas or Louisiana and watch football and people fight the gnats. No offense I'm a southern boy. I disagree with you but thank you for your bold statment indicating that you believe ULL & Ark St would add value to CUSA. Your honestly is to be admired and your ability to present your point though we differ is respected.

Neither C-USA or Buffalo have any interest in each other.

(04-17-2013 09:25 PM)Savacool Wrote:  CUSA is now the Sunbelt 2 Conference.I feel sorry for Rice,Southern Miss and UTEP. They should all be in the new Big East or AAC. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette U La La is pimping on this board to be admitted to the Sunbelt 2. They do not post on the Sunbelt board anymore and they are considered traders by other Sunbelt members in my humble opinion.

...and the AAC is essentially C-USA! Moreover, you want to add more C-USA schools? UTEP belongs in the MWC and should have been there years ago. Furthermore, Louisiana-Lafayette’s football program is more well known and superior to Tulane’s football program and the current Sagarin rankings clearly show this—Louisiana-Lafayette is ranked 62 and Tulane is 155.

http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbt12.htm

The AAC chose Tulane strictly for its market and failed to do any further research other than that. This is what happens when you have a supposed tv expert for a commissioner. I’m not knocking Tulane, but how can a fan of an inferior football program criticize the fans of a school that's 93 spots higher in the Sagarin rankings for wanting their school to be in C-USA? For the sake of the AAC, I hope Tulane eventually gets it together....

As for the fan that started this thread who’s school isn’t even ranked:

(04-17-2013 12:16 PM)Rabonchild Wrote:  It is my hope that CUSA does not raid the SBC in the future. Their teams have nothing positive to offer. For selfish reasons I would want App St, but in reality they bring nothing new to the table. Georgia St. adds market but that's about all. Raiding SBC is sort of like the Vikings raiding England hundreds of years ago, after a while there is nothing worth going back to raid.

If we are going to add teams I would focus on StonyBrook, Army, UMASS & Buffalo. Market, market, market. As far as the SBC conference just let it survive, because even the dogs deserve crumbs from the table.

Be thankful your school was even chosen because there are much better options available on a list that your school doesn’t even appear on. Also, if it wasn’t for the Sun Belt, C-USA football would have RIPieces with the WAC….

I think there are very few winners to come out of the last couple years nightmare.

Everyone is trying to sell how great their current conglomeration is and how much everyone else's sucks.

I personally think nearly all of the conferences are worse than they were before.
