Sad indeed.
Will never forget the episode where Lumpy chides the Beaver into climbing up onto a bill board that had a steaming cup of coffee or something like that.
The Beav falls into the cup and cant get out. Ward really gets steamed at the Beav and Lumpy is verklempt.
Of course Eddie Haskel is snickering in the background, Wally makes his "Oh Beav" face and June is still very supportative of Beav. And that's no jive.

Haven't looked at the clip, but I distinctly remember the line "Put your foot on the lady's thumb" as he gets help from the ground on how to climb up further.
