RE: Explosion at Boston Marathon
I find it ironic that a guy who doesn't know which end of a gun that the bullets come out of is trying to have a pro gun debate on a thread that is about a terrorist making sophisticated bombs and detonating them in a senseless act.

You sound bored to me, go get a Wall Mart Greeter job.

While I'm not all that familiar with guns I do own a pressure cooker which my mother gave to me. I am quite familiar with how to use a pressure cooker.

Wall Mart Greeter job????? I am anything but bored. Quite content as a matter of fact.

Why so angry? I'm simply applying the logic of the left to this incident. I guess if you can't debate the point, you attack the messenger...............Walmart greeter, Rush Rush Rush, etc. etc.

Timing is everything, blow hard. A national terrorist act is yet to be internalized by most and you want to parrot right wing media and pick a fight.

Typical right wing GOP move. Go negative at every opportunity to make the opposition look evil and bad. They have been doing it for 100 years.

Pretty sick though, to turn the tragedy and death of a terrorist bombing into a sarcastic attack.

RE: Explosion at Boston Marathon
Are you kidding? Do you follow the news?

Yesterday Barney Frank used this act of terrorism to advocate for high taxes.
Quote:"You know, it's very fashionable these days for people in my former line of work to brag about how they cut government, reduce government. Well, I'm glad that they weren't as successful as they wanted to be. This is an enormously expensive undertaking."
Note to Barney. Cops and first responders are paid for with local taxes.

Salon.com a liberal rag wrote this.
Quote:Salon published an opinion piece Tuesday evening by columnist David Sirota entitled, “Let’s hope the Boston Marathon bomber is a white American,” in which Sirota argued that if the perpetrator of Monday’s bombing attack, which left at least three people dead, is identified as a Muslim then conservative Republicans will use the tragedy to block Obama administration policy goals like immigration reform.

“If recent history is any guide, if the bomber ends up being a white anti-government extremist, white privilege will likely mean the attack is portrayed as just an isolated incident — one that has no bearing on any larger policy debates,” Sirota wrote in his Salon piece, which featured an image of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh cropped beside a photograph of Osama bin Laden.

^The irony being, that every terrorist incident that turned out to have been orchestrated by Muslims (pretty much all of them), has been followed by liberal hand ringing.............."Let's remember that these extremists represent only a small segment of Muslims." Which is true, however I never see those "good Muslims" outwardly disapproving of the extremists action.

Nick Kristof of the NY Times

Quote:This explosion is a reminder that the ATF needs a director. Shame on Senate Republicans for blocking the appointment
Note to Mr. Kristof. Senate Republicans are a minority, they haven't the power to block anything without the Dem majority joining them.

CNN reporter Peter Bergen
Quote:The perpetrators "could be a right-wing extremist group," Bergen insisted, if the matter inside the bomb was not hydrogen peroxide, which he said is a "signature" of an al Qaeda attack.
You mean like those five Occupy Wall Street guys who tried to blow up the bridge in Cleveland? You mean like the UniBomber? You mean like Bill Ayers? Those right wing extremists?

Yep, no one is politicizing this..................03-weeping

That part about Muslims was prettttyyyy terrible. That liberal "hand-ringing" might be in response to hate speech about Muslims that comes mostly from the right. Also plenty of Muslims do outwardly disapprove of terrorism. The fact that you are even requiring them to "outwardly disapprove" is prejudicial. You wouldn't imply that white people are either "outwardly disapproving" or silently approving when a white person does something terrible.

There is no hate speech. If you don't see the hand ringing you are clueless.

Really................Plenty of Muslims disapprove of what what Muslim extremists have done? I have yet to see one instance of a Muslim leader expressing outrage. NOT ONE.

Surely there must be a Ytube of some a Muslim leader expressing outrage. Help me out.

Didn't 5 Occupy Wall St. white guys try to blow up a very large bridge in Cleveland. Where was the outrage? It seems that since they were Occupy guys the media has gone wobbly on that story, doesn't fit the conservative white guy narrative they were looking for.

Your point that if other Muslims show outrage or disapproval then they too are prejudice. Priceless 03-lmfao03-lmfao

Hey, here's a video of their disapproval 04-bow

Nice. Not even a suspect and CD/CD1 is already full-throat spewing his bigoted anti-Muslim hatred. Despicable. And shameful.

Ladies and gentlemen...today's GOP.

CD - You will most likely take the negative caveat from this message and nothing else, but even the country that hates us most in the Arab world condemned the attack.

Come on stupid, follow along and pay attention.

I'm not saying it is Muslim extremists. I'm saying that several liberal media types (posted their quotes) are trying to pin this on "right wing extremists." And with that libs will try to paint with a broad brush that all conservatives fit this template, just as anyone who is a Christian and attends church falls into their category of "evangelicals."

But when a Muslim group or extremist perpetrates a terrorist act, the media and government officials are out in force making sure that we all understand it's a tiny segment of the Muslim population that are responsible.

The double standard is as obvious as the nose on your face. Yet many choose to ignore it because linking every conservative to Tim McVey fits the narrative they are looking for.

He's blaming it on Republicans in the Senate. Republicans in the senate are a minority. They can't pass or defeat anything without Democratic support. What aren't you following?

Apparently you missed the video I posted of the Muslim outrage after 9-11.

You probably missed the part where the people in Pakistan and the Pakistani government were pissed at us for killing Binladen. Probably missed how they locked the doctor up who gave us intel on Binladen's where abouts. 33 years in a Pakistan jail. Yeah, they really have our best interest in mine.

You're forgetting about Dems in Red states who are up for re-election. That's his point.
