And loses. Sad story. Why does stories like this seem to come out of the BOB every few years? Really isn't difficult to go to the BOB, have a good time and walk out on your two feet.

Quote:GRAND RAPIDS — In what police are calling an “unfortunate tragedy,” a man fell four stories to his death early Sunday morning inside The B.O.B.

Zachary Colt Bunting, 21, of Grand Ledge, was pronounced dead at the scene after police said he fell from the stairwell leading into the fourth floor Eve Lounge night club.

The incident happened about 2:10 a.m. on Sunday, April 14, inside the downtown Grand Rapids night spot, 20 Monroe Ave. NW.

Grand Rapids police said Major Case Team detectives were called in to investigate and have determined there was no foul play involved.

Witnesses told officers Bunting sat on the stairwell railing intending to slide down when he lost his balance and fell. Witnesses report the accident may have taken place on the venue's secondary stairwell, which does not feature safety nets like the main interior stairway.

Bunting is listed a a junior and a member of the men's club hockey team roster at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant.
