JMU isn't a NAME brand yet. It's not a tough sell to kids who look at a lot of different factors, but for those who want exposure and to play on national TV frequently, JMU is not that.

Thing is, a lot of schools offer good undergraduate experiences. I was in both Radford and Blacksburg this past weekend and wondered around both campuses for a bit. Both schools have nice campuses and the "talent" at both is tremendous as well. JMU isn't the only school with eye candy and strong academics out there.

Where will all of the 1A players come from?

The same high schools that 1AA players come from. There are plenty of them out there.

I saw more attractive women at Tech this past Sunday than I had the previous three times I visited combined. I don't think it's quite the sausage fest anymore that it used to be.

Currently, if a player isn't offered by VT or UVA, they have to leave the state to play FBS football. Kids are likely to choose a lower level FBS team out of state than a JMU/ODU/W&M/UR.

Go to the ODU Rivals site. ODU got numerous 2 and 3 star players from all over the east.
More money for recruiting would be a necessary expense.
