RE: Stoutest football recruit
We had a really studded class this year. With guys like Kent Turene, Josh Brown, Kelvin Benjamin Chocolate Wilson, Angelo Jean-Louis, and Deontay McManus it is hard to say.

Defensively I will say a toss up between Turene and Benjamin.

Kent Turene.

Kelvin Benjamin:

Offensively:
I am going to say Deontay McManus

An 18-19 year old WR should not be this big coming out of HS/Prep. He will be an absolute monster when he plays.

The kid went from 1 tenth of a point from being a 5 star recrit to a mid 3 star when he signed with Marshall.

And you are correct, a kid at 18-19 should not look like that.

I might have to put Taj Letman in there too. He has been pushing over a lot of OL and putting up big hits this spring.

I can't wait. Yea you are right about Letman. He has been a beast in camps. His only drawback is he still has to learn to play low. He will be a stud for sure though before he graduates. I know it sounds boastful but our team is freakin loaded. We have never had this much collection of talent on both sides of the balls as we do now. We used to have a couple guys the people said they didn't belong here. When you look at the offers we have kids all over that fit that description. Doc has been a magic man in recruiting. I am so excited about this season.

McManus was a 4 star recruit, not 3 according to Rivals. 25th rated WR, 4th rated Maryland.

I don't go to Rivals due to HerdNation being there. Long story short I got cencored in 2003 on HN and swore Id never type that site in my browser again. I had a 57 month subscription with them when HN moved there, I imed. canceled my subscription.

Both 247 and ESPN dropped him to 3 stars.

Herd Nation didn't move to Rivals until 2007.

I know you HN people are kinda slow:

Started using HN in 2000
Was cencored at HN in 2003
Got a rivals account in 2004
HN moved there in 2007
Canceled my Rivals account

RE: Stoutest football recruit
Wow hold grudges much? I pay attention to Rivals, Scout, 24/7, and ESPN and Marshall's rivals site is the most accurate and up to date. ESPN doesn't care to do homework on non power schools, 24/7 is decent but doesn't have the same coverage, and scout reports offers and commits that never happen. Those who run Old Fairfield on HerdNation.com back check everything before a post is made and don't go blabbing about things they shouldn't. Scout and 24/7 blabbed about a commit that was to be kept quiet and when they did we lost a big one on the line.

While I will read elsewhere until it hits Old Fairfield I won't trust it. You may have been censored but that was 10 year's ago. Don't know if Mark still ran the site then but I know now that if you got censored or banned you darn well deserved it. Mark gives a lot of ground with posters and you really have to do something to deserve being censored or banned.

You can continue to hold your grudge but I will tell you that you are missing out or the best coverage Marshall has when it comes to recruiting.
