Better idea - sit in the endzone with the NIU fans (there were a lot of us in 2009). You'll have more fun and it looks great on the BTN when we represent well. COGS

So...we're shooting for the south endzone? I'm good with that if that is where the majority of NIU fans will be.

I spoke to several guys at the Huskie Bowl on Saturday and they said that the South end zone is the place to be. They ordered seats through Stub Hub also.

Buy them early! The kickoff time will be announced soon.

64 tickets in the South endzone for $7 or less! (IIRC this tickets go for $20ea thru Purdue)

A helpful suggestion............do not sit in that awful endzone. People, those seats are down right bad. Reasons: Subpar sight views, it is not connected to the horseshoe, and you sit under that annoying jumbotron (believe me, it is that bad).

Visitor seating is also located in section 129. Grab those seats if you want to sit with fellow Huskies. Much better seats.

Ticket sales have picked up this year due to the firing of Hope and the hiring of Hazell, but you will be able to find dirt cheap prices for tickets. Do not let the cheap sticker price on endzone seats impact your decision.

Thank me later.

Cheapest ticket on the sidelines are $55ea+ shipping and fees

The endzone is the place for those of us who have minimal budgets.

For $12ea after shipping and fees to sit in the first 8 rows I am not going to complain about the view.

Right now its hard to find respectable seats for Iowa on stubhub less than 100, im trying to decide whether to buy now and just clear my mind of it or wait to see what the market does. Does anyone who is a little more keenly aware of secondary Iowa markets know if we can expect much movement in prices between now and Aug 1st?

Yep.

Iowa football is the closest thing they have to any pro sports in the state. Most of their fans cutback spending on personal hygiene and necessary dental work to go to these games.

Tickets will be less than $100 if you buy through NIU. And, in 2006, the NIU section was in Section 110 on the sideline, goal line extended. Not bad seats at all.

Yeah, there is no way sideline seats are going to go for $55 outside RA before kickoff. They practically give those things away hours before the game.

Sounds like you are set and good to go.

For others, I would stay away from that endzone (the jumbotron is awful). Good tickets can be had really cheap before the game.

There were a lot of NIU fans in the endzone in 2009. We had a great time AND the Huskies celebrated right in front of us after the win!

I'd sit there again.

Any idea of when NIU will promote the tickets for the game?

I would guess early in July.

That is what I was told.

For some reason they didn't think it would be a good selling point to say that donors and season ticket holders got the best seats (of those allocated to NIU)

Isn't that the whole point of being a donor and season ticket holder? 03-banghead

Kind of interesting but from the pulse I feel on this board, seems like more people are amped for the Purdue game as opposed to Iowa.

Purdue is closer, has cheaper tickets and fewer crazy fans.

And if we're 3-0 going into that game....West Lafayette will probably see our best Regular Season road showing since....Northwestern?....
