Here's to ya'll only dreaming of the past. lol
You act like it was a century ago, 2010 is not that far behind. Its not dreaming of the past, everyone has a few down seasons. Even in the down seasons we some how find way to beat our in state rivals USA and UAB, that's the real lol here.
Oh come on! First of all, you have played USA once, and we were basically an FCS team. Secondly, when is UAB ever "up"? These wins is nothing to become a braggart about.
Certainly not bragging, but its funny that a USA fan wants to talk shat about a team that USA has never beat in football. Win a game then talk all you want, b/c then we will have some common ground. I am just stiring the pot a bit, don't get too much sand in your vag about it. Why does it matter about the whole FCS argument anyways, plenty of the move ups have made it very clear that it does not matter. BTW, you guys are technically FBS so you can't be basically FCS anything, stop making excuses and win.
Don't get riled up. My post was tongue in cheek. We've played one football game, but if it's like every other sport it's just a matter of time before we hold the all time series advantage. That's my opinion anyway. And we are FBS this year. We were FBS-transitional last year. We've built for this year, not last year. Last year should be the worst Jag team your team will see in the foreseeable future. Can't wait to come to Troy this fall. Y'all gonna treat us good, right?

For those of you who are unfamiliar with him, consider your football program lucky. There's still plenty of respect for him on this board with the OG's.
Most will tell you the two greatest WR's to ever play football in the Sun Belt Conference are Jerrel Jernigan and T.Y. Hilton.
Agreed, about the 2 best SBC WRs. Most likely to make you curse as they took it home.

LMAO, all good fun. I hope you guys like Troy, it should be a great game. I enjoyed last years game although the weather sucked, but the beer helped take care of that :D

It was a Thursday night game and most people that go to the games have to travel. Troy isn't a big place...
LOL mathenis you are such a troll. TBH though that game was probably one a my favorite conference games this past season.
I thought you all had us at Halftime.
I don't think anyone is beat until that clock hits 0:00 in the 4th. I won't try to diminish WKUs win, you guys won fair and square and it was a wonderful game to watch in person I am glad I was there :)

GATA Eagles !
In the Sun Belt, it isn't how many points you can score...it's how many you're gonna give up to our spread attacks.
Don't waste your breathe BTH, haven't you heard the new guys from the FCS are already world champions and haven't even played one game in the FBS. We should all just give up now b/c they are just too bad arse to defeat.

Oh highly regarded man of Troy, we run the spread. The difference is our spread has the O Line with three foot splits, they fire out from a three point stance and come out low and hard, and use wish bone blocking techniques. It's old school, but like a single action Colt, its still sweet on the trigger pull.

Yeah!
But just to finish our little GaSo triple-option discussion, the offense is great...but it's a clock management offense. Several of the Sun Belt offenses run wide open spread attacks, all of which can score quick and often. Just watch our game against the Naval Academy last year for proof of what will happen. We got in front early and they never could catch up.
Troy was the first to implement it, and that was a big key to our early success in the league. Imitation is the sincerist form of flattery, and the SBC has been kissing our back sides as of late.

OK, I've got my ABCs straightened out, I was just observing the spread offenses and noticed how porous the defenses handled the running plays, and thought . . . these guys are used to that two point pass defense kind of stance, and we fire off the
line of scrimmage and attack down field in a much more physical manner, it wasn't an attempt at a slam, just an observation. We used to run that Hal Mummy"dink and dunk" air raid under Chris Hatcher's tenure as head coach. It was alright, but anyway. . .
