Is it just me or does he have kind of a strange release? Reminds me a little of the release point Philip Rivers had when he was in college.

Yea it looks like he sorta of 'pushes' the ball forward instead of going over the top with his motion.

Beat me to it. He doesn't really look like he has a fluid motion, just sort of... as you already said... "pushes" it towards his target.

But hey, as long as the ball gets to where it needs to go, I don't care how he throws it.

His release point is low, but man does his arm come forward quickly! And he triggers immediately with no wind up and absolutely no "loop".

Pretty impressive that he can trigger and gun that quickly and throw 40-50 yards and make it look close to effortless.

From the video he also seems to put good touch on the ball when needed along with good arm strength when throwing long or zipping the ball in a tight space.

Gunner is a project. He has the tools, but don't let the HS ranking fool ya. He'll need work.

Totally agree. He has an extremely lively arm. Very impressive. That is why he was ranked so high coming out of high school. It's rare to find someone who can get rid of the ball so quickly and get it down field so easily.

A well known coach, with what apparently is a very good staff, that alone makes for a great build up for next season.

Reading and hearing all the great things about Coney, and now, getting Kiel...what an exciting time to be a Bearcat football fan!

Agree 100% 04-cheers

Now if only it were announced in the coming months that UC will be joining the ACC at the start of the 2014 season.... 03-cloud9

Pat, as much as I'd love an ACC invite, I don't see it happening too soon. At least, I'm not on the edge of my seat for it. I think if nothing happens within 2 weeks to a month, it would be FB season at the earliest.

I'm just glad we are shoring up the areas we have some control over, like putting a good football team on the field. That is my focus right now.

What's even better than an aq invite is playing in a BCS game. Getting a big name HC will give your program a leg up on getting that 1 bid the GO5 gets.

Officially enrolled:

Quote:...Kiel must sit out the 2013 season as a transfer, and then will have three years eligibility remaining (2014-16). Kiel can practice with UC during the 2013 season but cannot travel or play in a game.

Kiel is to start classes at UC for the summer semester beginning May 6....
