He found a good home for the pup. He did the right thing.

I'm very pleased to hear this, Tanya. Thanks for your help. Glad it turned out good for the dog. Yes, he could have resolved this in many other much worse ways.

What's wrong with a guy selling a dog?
Last I checked, Pet Smart, PetCo, breeders -- they all charge.
I heard you can't even pick up a pet from the pound or from a foster system without paying for it.
Whoa, we agree.
And that tells me you are okay with breeders, and you either have no idea what goes on behind the scenes of the pet store "industry" or you don't care.
You also have no idea what it costs to foster an animal or even house it in the "pound", or you don't care. You also probably "don't get" the difference between removing a dog who has lived with your family for years and a "pound" or foster home finding a permanent home for a dog which has been in their temporary care for, hopefully, a few days to a few months.
I can try to explain it to you, but ultimately, I can't make you "understand" the difference if it's not in your heart and soul.

Good for Dynamos and good for the dog. Happy to hear it for them both.

I could make the argument that someone willing to pay money for a dog is more likely to be a responsible owner than someone who is unwilling.
I think people should adopt shelter dogs than breeder dogs. I also don't think someone is the scum of the earth if they opt for the latter.

I agree with everything you said, but I don't equate someone paying a shelter or rescue group for a dog with someone trying to recoup "losses" for a 4 year old Pomeranian that once cost $300. I consider what one pays a shelter or rescue group to be a donation more than anything else.
Won't even get into breeders because I'm theoretically a hypocrite for letting my mom get our miniature Dachshund from a breeder.
There are some on here that kill the op yet have pets they keep outside 24/7. I, personally, find that terrible but others are totally fine with that. I would bet the split is about 50/50 on that, just like the idea of selling a dog.

That shows just how much you actually know about some breeds of dogs...but not surprised.
