Mason will have to void two games because VCU and URI will now be conference mates; they are scrambling to replace them.

The OCC so far are:

@Manhattan
Rhode Island

BBT Classic
UMd vs. GWU
Mason vs. TBA

Diamond Head Classic (Hawaii)
Boise State, Hawai'i, Iowa State, Oregon, St. Marys (CA), South Carolina and 1 more TBA

With yesterday’s news of Manhattan not being on next year’s non-conference slate, we know that we will be hearing of new opponents soon. George Mason will host St. Francis (PA) on November 19, according to the school’s website. Not an exciting addition as they were 5-24 last season overall and 5-13 in the NEC. At this point most programs have their schedules filled and finding a quality opponent will be tough. Remember no one wants to play a team returning all their guys from the previous season.

Schedule Update – Dates Added for Northern Iowa and Rhode Island
[Image: uniuri-467x270.png]

Masonhoops.com was able to find more non-conference home dates for our upcoming schedule. These dates are still listed as tentative, but should hold firm. Some of the other games have been confirmed earlier, but the Northern Iowa and Rhode Island dates are new. Remember, Mason will play Rhode Island twice next year – the November game will be considered a non-conference game:

Friday October 18th – Midnight Madness

Friday November 8th vs American (home opener)
Saturday November 16th vs Northern Iowa
Tuesday, November 19th vs St. Francis
Saturday, November 30th vs Rhode Island
Wednesday, December 4th vs South Florida
