Did not see the play, but from what I have heard, Byrd is a great addition all around.

Desperately need some runs here.

Teykl crushes the ball back up the middle, it hits the pitcher. The ball stops close to the mound and the pitcher throws Teykl out easily. That must have left a mark.

AK appeared to have hit the wall in the seventh, but strands two with an inning-ending strikeoutKKKKKKKKK. He gave up two hits, and was saved by an outstanding catch in CF ny Byrd. That's probably it for Austin for the night. Time to scratch out a run and give him a chance at the W.
