Skeptical, but hope it works out well for him.

As to the impact on next year's team, it may be a positive due to the lack of minutes available for so much wonderful talent

Honestly, Dwash had a better chance of being drafted than AT.

Wish Adonis the best.

When folks talk about NBA drafting on potential, they are really talking about them drafting on value. Second rounders, that COULD become stars/role players at a cheap price for a number of years is just as critical the needs for star for NBA teams.

I wish him the best. He probably could have been drafted straight out of HS with all his hype and might still be drafted high on potential alone. Never seemed to be the big impact player we hoped/expected but the league is different.

coaching is overrated in the NBA

If anything, coaching is underrated in the NBA.

The type of NBA executives that selected Dwight Gooden ahead of Amare Stoudamire?

I think the line up is better with Joe, Chris and Gerron at the same time. Shaq and X will make up the starting lineup.

RE: Adonis gone!!!!
Adonis has never played the same since getting hurt. But it was obvious since his high school days that he had dreams of playing in the league one day, ever since the NBA ready body comments came out a long time ago.

It hurts us next year depth wise and hate to see him go, but wish him all the luck in the world.

Dwight Gooden had a dominant curveball and a mid 90s fastball. I'm not sure that Amare's fastball topped 75 mph.

"hope he does well but I won't miss him all that much. Not that I think he did all that poorly but he sure wasn't the impact player we all thought he would be. I don't think his productivity will be that difficult to replace. Good luck AT, I do hope you end up fulfilling your dream. "

Beat me to it! +1 I think the correct answer we were looking for was "Drew Gooden".... I'll take coked out baseball players for $500 please Alex.

RE: Adonis gone!!!!
Here's the way I see AT's decision to turn pro.

Best case scenario, he gets picked up in the 2nd round and actually finds a roster spot on a team willing to develop his skills for several years...gets a check for doing this.

Worse case scenario, doesn't get drafted/or just doesn't make a squad...goes to Europe and gets a check for doing this.

Either way, the kid gets paid to play a game he loves...who can be mad at one of our own for pursuing their life's dream?

Godspeed to you, Adonis...it was fun watching you perform for the past 1 1/2 seasons. 04-cheers

He could have gone overseas to get paid for the game he loves 2 years ago

True, but he likely peferred attempting the 1-n-done method in the hopes of getting drafted by the NBA...Europe was/is always a backstop option for AT.
