Maybe we should host a minor bowl at Nippert.

The P&G Tidy Bowl?

For the Papa Johns.com bowl in 2008 when UC beat Southern Miss as Kelly's first real bowl game (coached international bowl but was not his team) visitors can expect:

-beer to only be sold in cans from pallets in the main corridor of the building. Basically (did not buy one) vendors tore a 16 oz can off the plastic wrapper on a pallet and handed it to the customer. I was told the beer was warm and expensive. No draft beer, this was all you got, bud light or miller lite.

-no place to sit in the main area. If you should happen to buy something to eat, we saw a man and his son sitting on the ground eating pizza. No tables, no chairs, no stools, no benches, no nothing.

-bathrooms were as dirty as they come. One bathroom I used made you obviously not want to touch anything, but also made you want to throw out your shoes when you got home. disgusting !!!

-food service. Considering it was the PapaJohns.com bowl, they ran out of pizza in the 1st quarter. The food service was awful selling stale food from people with no hygiene. Observed staff workers in the food service area licking their fingers, pants down around their knees and wearing dirty service uniforms.

Parking- the stadium, Legion Field, famous stadium used by Alabama during Bear Bryant era, is rusted on the outside severely calling into question it's stability. The worst part is the stadium is in the worst section of Birmingham and we had to park in a muddy, dirty field. great for your new car interior.

If this bowl was wiped off the face of the earth it would not bother me one bit. Not sure how they manage to keep this bowl afloat.

Weather- it was cold, rainy and sleeting during the game with brief moments of sunshine and high of 41. It was the worst weather of any of the five bowl games I would attend.

and i bet the ticket taker slapped you in the face upon your admittance, some drunkard stole your kids coke and preceded to run naked thru the band section urinating down the nearest trombone. take solace in the fact that you overcame these obstacles in becoming a true uc fan. i pine for these moments. these are the times to treasure. anyone can have a bland everything goes according to plan trip, but when **** just doesn't go your way is when the memories begin.

You can serve warm beer; you can lick your fingers before serving me a brat; you can even slap me in the face; but, do not touch my kid's narcotics. How else is she going to make it through the first half?

There were bars of soap in the bathroom, doesn't get much worse than that. For the poster above, the International Bowl in Toronto was much better.

That said, I will go wherever my Bearcats take me.

It was a good day then. Usually most of the bathrooms are locked and the ones that are open don't have soap or toilet paper 03-razz

At least you aren't forced to play all your home games there. Signed a UAB fan.
