See that's just it... the atmosphere at minor league games is MUCH more fan oriented than anything I've seen from any pro team (regardless of the sport, whether it's hockey, baseball, basketball, etc.).

I've probably been spoiled on ECHL hockey (Sea Wolves, Mystics, etc.) and Frontier League baseball...(i can spend $20 to $25 dollars there and have about 4 times amount the food/fun at Busch stadium)

I think the Metro is the one thing I've never considered... Just go park at Hanley station and then take the metro to ScottTrade.

That's what I would do. Can't beat the ease of the Metro. Plenty of parking at Hanley too.

I love minor league hockey, but the Blues do it right. Definitely fan oriented.

Have you been to a Blues game? It's nearly impossible to go to one and not become a Blues fan. Their staff does a tremendous job of putting on a first-rate event.

Blues beat the Blackhawks tonight in a shootout.

nope, haven't been to a Blues game yet, although I have seen them practicing over at the St. Louis Mills ice rink in the mall on occasion. (yes, they practice in the arena in the mall).

I HATE traveling in the city, but I've heard nothing but good things about the staff and the "event" they put on every night. Just like I refuse to go downtown to watch a Cardinals game (But I HATE the Cards and Cards fans who think the team is "god's gift to baseball"... I'll stick with the River City Rascals.. just as fun, and a lot cheaper)

And yeah, i caught the win over Chicago tonight.. (any time ANY Chicago team loses, it's a good thing :) )

That is BLASPHEMY! 03-wink

Go to a Blues game...you won't regret it.

I was a CHL Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs season ticket holder. I'm hoping they will come back in the SPHL....which I believe is where the Ice Gators play now.

Former Jackson Bandits season ticket holder and played goalie in a local league for four years. The IceGators had a good team and great fans and were one of our most intense rivalries. I've attended a couple of hockey games in Bossier-Shreveport. Saw the Predators and Thrashers play an NHL exhibition game there and went to see our old friend and former Bandit, Kenny Carroll, when he was with the Mudbugs.

Try being a hockey fan in Atlanta - where we had a team we LOVED and the ownership group pissed it all away.

Miss you on Siouxsports.com. Congrats on MTSU in CUSA. Always knew Memphis would have to leave before the MTSU would get in.

Hosting the Frozen Four a couple years ago in Tampa was a blast. Nashville would be a great spot for another Southern location.

Tonight is FAU Owls night at the Panthers Caps game down here. Uhm, should be a good game? LOL

If by good, you mean the Caps raping the Panthers, then yes.

In real news: Tampa Bay @ New York Islanders tonight. Watch!

I'll be in Sunrise for the game tonight, but I'll be checking. Are we going to have to win out to make the playoffs? Finals are coming up soon so I've started lose focus on sports.

No, only 4 points separate the top of the Southeast from us, in 4th. We can still win the division and make the playoffs.

God the Southeast Division is terrible.

No, never mind.

After yet another humiliating performance, we're pretty much hopeless to get into the playoffs.

Not as humiliating as seeing a team with Steven Stamkos sitting at the bottom of the NHL.

I can't bring myself to watch another Bolts game the rest of the season. The extreme disappointment from where this season is heading after such a promising start is too much to deal with as finals are right around the corner. Trading away Conacher was the icing on the cake of this season.

Killorn is a better player than Conacher and Bishop was much needed. He is far better than both Garon and Lindback. I watched the game today and really had to restrain myself to keep from punching my laptop. I've never seen any sports team with so much talent suck so bad. I'm not sure how you can go from being 6-1 and the highest scoring team in the NHL to being one of the three worst teams in the NHL in 2 months.

Maybe we'll get a good first round pick out of it. That's my only hope. As for watching, I'm with you. I'm done for the season.
