Tulane 2013 = Rice 2012
According to some Tulane folks on the CUSA board, Ricky Tarrant and Josh Davis (I think that's his name - he was their good inside player who averaged a double double) are both leaving the program. Tarrant was first team all-conference and will transfer somewhere (probably to Alabama). I guess Davis is due to graduate (he's a fourth-year junior who transferred to Tulane from NC State) and is going pro.

Both were very good players. Their program might drop off as much as our team did this past year. I feel bad for them but I feel worse for college basketball in general because the sport has just disintegrated into a shadow of what it used to be.

Rumors of additional departures. Really is eerily similar.

Apparently, they too are alleging racism by Rick Greenspan as the basis of their hardship waivers. :)

My stars!

<satire>Did anyone see Greenspan at the Louisville-Duke game this past weekend? He was yelling at Kevin Ware right before his injury and obviously distracted him as well.

I thought I saw Greenspan in that picture of the N.Korean war room a few days ago.

So, that's who's been sabotaging my project all these weeks? I should have thought of that first.

We were trying to figure out who dropped an expletive on the call I just ended (true story), and it all makes sense now.

...

Back to the original topic, let's see what else comes out. What kind of baggage did the new coach bring with him?

I saw and heard Greenspan at the Roost last night shouting for his cheeseburger to be served. "Hey, cheeseburger" was the exact quote, with a couple of slaps on the counter. True story.

Did he make any inappropriate comments about or grab the buns?

He has also lost a lot of weight and age and has been placing highly in European Spring cycling classics:

I became a fan of my high school team almost 50 years ago, and then came to Rice and my senior year, we won the SWC championship! That was the high point of my interest in college basketball and it has slowly gone downhill from then. If I never saw another basketball game again, that would be OK. It's springtime in Houston, why are we still playing games indoors?? I know most don't agree with me, but that's my 2 cents worth.

I know the "true story" thing has turned into a meme, but that actually was a true story!

Well that didn't take long. (Sigh). Word on the street is that said cheeseburger has requested a transfer to an In-N-Out in the Pac-12, and the NCAA has approved the hardship waiver.

Tulane to hold press conference with AD and Coach.
Something Rice should have done.
