Well those principles of hard work, getting up in the morning and doing your job, apply to all occupations.
I think the thing about top level professional sports is the potential reward is so great those of us without the tools wonder why someone would not be motivated.

To the Lilliputians out there because someone is tall does not equate to a burn to yearn to play.
I raised this upon the signing of one Zeke Marshall 4 years ago.
Read a nice piece on him but it was clear that buckets was not a passion but a past time.
Loved tinkering around with computers ( Does two 7' IT guys make a class of individual?) and really liked staying at home with Mom.
