Yes... At Lester in Binghampton. His friend was coach and is sick with cancer so Penny took over.

usually players that make the major bucks don't coach because of the time commitment. Patrick Ewing might be the exception to this.

Doubt it, Penny is living the good life and isn't hungry or driven enough to be on staff imo. He is already a great friend of the program and pulling his weight w/o coaching it too. Tony Madlock potentially would have been a great Tiger Asst..

I wish Penny and/or EP were the public face of the Grizzlies front office. I don't know if either are as cut-throat as a GM needs to be, but now that they are owners, the Grizzlies should have them titles and responsibilities.
