What have they got besides baseball and location? Small enrollment, and the Big South isnt really a great FCS football league.

I completely agree. With App/GSU and JMU you get some of the best FCS schools in the two best conferences.

I'm just surprised nobody is talking about them since the trainwreck of Chattanooga keeps getting brought up. I guess thats what you should expect when a bird is driving the train.... get it? 03-drunk

Terrible. Terrible! 03-lmfao

But, IMO, Chatty has all the pieces to be an FBS program, except the leadership.

Look at App before Cobb and Peacock, same could happen in Chatty.

Shockers are in the Final Four this year. Second 9 seed ever to make it. They got overshadowed badly by FGCU.

I'm for real about both those schools. It would greatly improve our basketball which is desperatly needed. Also they are somewhat fitting in our footprint to the West. If we even have a footprint anymore. No they aren't huge on football, but as others pointed out, it's not all about football. It's about improving our conference all around and making the Sun Belt the best it can be in all sports.

I'd think the MVC would have to be decimated before they joined our league in basketball. They would probably push for the NMSU treatment of football only membership and let their bad football live here and withhold their valuable basketball. And we'd probably agree and let them.
