My guess is basketball will be play everyone once, with a handful of home and homes for closest geographic rivals. Is that not what they do today?

Most likely will be it. Playing everyone once would be 13, play 3 closest rivals twice and you are at 16.

A couple of C-USA schools have been adamant about not going beyond a 16 game conference schedule.

The last few seasons have been an echo of the East/West football layout. In other words, the east teams all played the West teams once, and the other East teams home-and-home. This method of scheduling has not been popular and is not expected to continue in the new alignment.

Cannot wait until July 1st 2014, hopefully not to many teams will be gone before than...I like the playing each other for 13 than WKU plays MTSU, Marshall and UAB twice, that would work....Maybe each season drop a third team and add one we play twice each season....For instance following season instead of playing UAB twice we play ODU twice, keep MTSU and Marshall always playing home and away...

Which could result in Team A playing a significantly tougher league schedule than Team B, which impacts conference tourney seeding!

P.S. I don't think we should let all 14 teams play in the basketball tourney.

No you don't. Host plus 11. 4 1st round byes brings second round to 8 teams, then to 4 teams, then to 2 teams then USM is left cutting nets.

I like that. Maybe 1 permanent rival, 1 biennial rival, and 1 annual rival? That'd be great cause I'd love to have H/H's with UNC-C, Marshall, MTU, WKU, and UAB.
