With all the speculation about Coach Cullop heading for greener pastures, I found this article refreshing about a man that is happy where he is. Granted, Florida is in the SEC for goodness sakes but is hardly rich in basketball tradition until he got there.

Billy Donovan was the basketball coach at Marshall before he left for Florida. He left Marshall a year or so before they joined the MAC (for the second time) so he never actually coached in the MAC.

Staying put at Florida is one thing but I am really impressed with those young guys staying put at VCU and Butler. I get the feeling that UCLA will never be satisfied with a MBB coach until they find the next John Wooden and that is not likely to ever happen, so turning down the UCLA job probably is not as tough a decision as it might first appear.
