Interestingly, I don't remember the recent ones in the Wiki article... but that makes sense as one was associated with the Branch Davidians that few in the state really gave the time of day, but Janet Reno and the liberals certainly did... For those that don't know, Texas monthly is no "fringe" magazine in the state... and there it is, on the cover...

At least thus far, I would say the 1979 movement was much more widespread than anything I've seen so far this time. Texans probably hated Jimmy Carter more than Obama, primarily because Carter had his head wedged way far up his @$$ on energy policy--and Carter was very white last time I checked.
