Interesting he mentioned practicing at PBS and checking out their turf since they're looking at replacing the existing turf at Nippert. Probably long overdue.

Those are easy to replace. You just sew the new one right on top.

I figured as much. I thought I remembered a conversation on here around last season that the current Big East logo was either permanently sewed or painted into the turf.

Definitely long overdue... the endzones looks almost purple now.

All of the logos, numbers, etc. are sewn into the field. That is why it is easy to make a long-term change, like a conference logo, but difficult to make short term changes, like replacing Bengals logos for UC logos when we play at PBS.

I wouldn't mind black endzones with white script and a red outline/underline. The red numbers should stay the same, as well as the black C-Paw at midfield. I don't think a white C-Paw would look all that great on the turf... or would it??

Sub,

I think they use velcro now for quick changes like end zones and logo spots. I was told that by someone in the AD office last year. I was also told that PBS would utilize velcro so if we played there we could change to our c-paws and logos.

They can do that, but I don't know if they did it when they replaced the turf at PBS. I do know that the last few times we played there they did not have removable endzones and logos.
