Moving forward is better than staying FCS. May take a few lumps, but not too many. Good program moving to get better....good stuff

Seriously though, if you're an ambitious, well-run FCS program, why wouldn't you move up at this point? You've got just as a good a chance at that final playoff spot as anyone else in the Group of 5. Maybe better since you've got some winning tradition to sell recruits on.

App and GaSo bring an amazing resume for football, they have great attendance. You know full well or should know that no schools ever entered FBS with an FCS resume as good as what App and GaSo are bringing. Marshall is the only two time champion to ever move up. App brings three and GaSo brings six. It is unprecedented.

While they won 1 FCS title, UMASS is the only other former FCS program besides Marshall to play in 3 or more FCS title games. Wow the top programs are leaving FCS in a stampede. Sure wish the MAC would invite NDSU already, should get FCS title #3 this fall.

Doesn't seem to be much support for that. They'd be one of the few FCS teams that would compete right away. They'd make the West division even stronger I think, to the point where they'd almost have to switch teams in the divisions.
