Unbelievable!
Florida Gulf Coast didn't admit it's first student until 1997. Wally mentioned in his column this morning that every player on the basketball team is older than the University, and I thought he'd screwed up his math, but I checked it out, and he was correct.

I thought it had been longer than that when Bryan Crislip played here, but obviously not. I don't expect it to happen, but what a story if they beat Florida this week. That would make a movie for sure.
Would rival "Hoosiers" what with their coaches personal history as well as the upsets, especially if they could somehow beat the Gators.04-cheers

Personal history? Inquiring minds want to know.

They were just starting their program when Brian Crislip went there and I believe were playing on the DII level. Probably had just a handful of buildings on campus at that point and certainly no basketball arena.
