BG AD To Xavier
http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20130...c-director

BTW, a BG poster said this: I wonder if this time around it will be an AD with proven expertise in running top tier (compared to the conference) athletic programs since we've now got the conference's top student athlete workout center and top basketball arena.

WHAT!

Sounds like they couldn't appreciate someone that was able to get a significant promotion to a higher profile job.

They must have built those in the last week. When I passed through they still had Stro.

Does anyone else get the feeling the MOB wants to stay at UT? Because I feel like he could easily have gotten a 'better' job with the success he has had at UT.

Mob probably sees this BG opening as the one he's been waiting for.

not.

Im sure there are positions that he would leave UT for in a heartbeat but I'm thinking he likes it here or he would've bolted awhile ago. His success at Toledo is surely appealing to many BCS programs but his name rarely is mentioned in any AD openings nationwide.

Plus, doesn't he have a younger son? Perhaps he is comfortable here in Toledo with his family.

I really have to believe that MOB is still at Toledo because he wants to be there. There is no way that he's here because nobody else is interested. Has to be the best AD in the MAC imo.

RE: BG AD To Xavier
BG opened the "Best Arena in the MAC" with a game against Howard. I'm guessing Howard brought four friends to make a full team, but still- MOB brings in Miami, makes millions on a home game against OSU, brings a BCS program to the GB nearly every year, raisedthe womens' programs from an afterthought to one of the premier programs in the conference, got Fedderer and Savage, "The Second Best Arena in the MAC" done and is on the verge of revamping Larimer. Given what he had to work with Christopher did a great job with facilities and made some good hires-Orr hasn't panned out but appeared to be a coup at the time and the jury is out on the football coach and Roose but they don't appear to be BAD hires. Certain Falcon fans wanted the AD to enjoy being kissed up to and didn't like it when he didn't play that game. The Falcons arelike a small market baseball team- they face some harsh economic realities and Christopher made the tough choices and moves on to his reward.

Do you guys think that the off field incidents at UT (Scooter and Manni, APR, Track coach) have any bearing on the future of MOB at 'bigger' schools?
