Miami hockey playing Minnesota State Mankato...
...on Saturday in Toledo. After being b***h slapped by Michigan yesterday, we fell to a number two seed, with Notre Dame getting the first one in the Midwest regional after they beat the Wolverines 3-1 earlier today. Irish play St. Cloud State right before us, both games will be televised on ESPN3 (also syndication on ESPNU). Whole bracket below:

True that. In the long run (by that I mean next Saturday and beyond) it might be good for us to have gotten thrashed so badly. With a veteran coach and such a young team, we'll come down to Earth and be mentally prepared (the short travel won't hurt as well) for our game Saturday. Keep in mind, we haven't lost two games in a row this year, so once we get into our groove, it'll be tough to stop our speed.

Let's hope we can turn it around after that terrible L to the hated Wolverines! (can't believe they didn't make the field).

Even though Michigan was hot at the end of the season, their December and January doomed them from at large bid. Once as they settled on a goaltender, it was too late. It was win the CCHA or bust for Michigan.

Michigan's 22 year string of NCAA tournament births ends. Miami is playing in our 8th straight tourney, second only to North Dakota who is playing in their 12th in a row.

Good luck, Miami. Wish we were there, too but our team kind of crapped the bed during the second half of the season. 03-banghead

I'd love to see a CCHA team win it all. I'd rather see Miami than ND pull it off and I note that the brackets have the potential for one CCHA team to take out the other in the second round.
