Final Record for 2012-2013 Season - 31-5
I dont care who we played that is still a fabulous record for the year.

31-5

Conference Regular Season Champs

Conference Tournament Champs

2nd Round Victory to advance to Top 32

Sometimes it's important to reflect on the fact that we are a pretty darn good program.

We all want Sweet 16's and better but we should also celebrate this team and appreciate our status in college basketball.

This is an awesome record for ANY D1 team. Tigers are back! Anything more is pure gravy.

Too bad some folks don't have an appreciation for gravy...

I love gravy. Especially biscuits and gravy.

after the scorched earth that the former coach left behind, if you would have told memphis fans that in the next 4 years tiger basketball would hire the 4th assistant off the former staff, would have 106 wins to only 34 losses, 1 nit appearance, 3 ncaa appearances, 2 cusa regular titles, 3 cusa tournament titles and the #2 recruiting class in the nation they would have kissed you on the mouth.

this is really good stuff considering what the starting point was

Absolutely. We fool ourselves thinking that current "elite" coaches are biting the bit to come coach the Tigers. We forget we had to "settle" for Josh. Pretty good result so far, and I can't wait until next year. I believe he will continue to improve. We could not throw it in the ocean a few times during the tournament but we played a stifling defense at times and that was a great sign.

Fine season. 31-5 is a great record anywhere.
It would be interesting to look back at our pre-season predictions.

We're in a better spot if we need to hire a new coach than the last time around.
The roster is in good shape, a good recruiting class is on the way, we're in a bit better league, the hiring process will be better and the NCAA is not sniffing around.

Year-to-year improvement is always good. Coach Pastner's tenure so far is progressing very much like Coach Calipari's. I think most of us were frustrated that it took so long for him to get us back into the NCAA tournament (can you imagine ever missing the tournament again for 7 straight years?). He even had the hiccup of the season on the brink with Sean Banks going bust and all. Through it all, though, the recurs kept coming, and the Tigers became a national powerhouse.

Coach Pastner is still learning the ropes as a bench coach. We haven't seen him bring in and develop the big man who will take us to the next level. But I haven't seen one thing with this program that can't be fixed with more experience here, a change in staff there, and a blue chip big man.

I'm really looking forward to next year.

I will take history over speculation.

Wonderful accomplishments for our program and staff.

We are absolutely progressing at a solid pace. I hope we can retain the core of our staff and keep this going for years and years...Great job CJP, Aki, Damon, etc...

Thank you!
