It was a great season, undefeated in conference (something we might never see again), 31 wins, and Pastner finally gets the monkeys off his back. Hate to see it end in a blowout fashion, but this wasn't a team we matched well against and, at least for a half, they were held in check.

Good luck to DJ in the Draft, as well as good luck to Hall, Holt and Simpson as they enter the next phase of their lives. As for the rest of the team, can't wait to see you guys on the court next season, if you thought this year was something, just wait until next year!

I don't sense a meltdown. More of a concern over our front court. I think most people are not shocked by a loss today.

Which one are you talking about? This one is relatively calm, all things considered.

This is nothing.

I actually expected a lot worse than this.

Nice job of keeping it together people.

Not what we wanted today but it was not totally unexpected. Once again our future looks brighter and the true fans have been saying it every year CJP has been here. Sometimes baby steps are better. I feel confident no corners will be cut no short cuts will be taken as he continues to build a very solid foundation for a once storied program.

Showing understanding and concern regarding your team, is not a meltdown. I have seen nothing ugly on here, other than the usual people that get offended by anything slightly ugly toward the basketball team. I am quite certain that 99% of the people on this site want our team to be the best it can be. And, without the great passion of this fan base, this program would only be average instead of awesome.

No problem with losing this game...we had a great year.....we just picked a bad time to go ice cold and score a season low of 48 pts....couldn't hit a free throw or lay up or anything else...today we woulda lost to Sisters of the Poor

And I don't think our league or schedule would have made a difference today.

If FGCU can do it, anyone can.

I actually do think our conference hurt us today, but that ship has sailed so we'll find out next year if superior competition preps you for the tourney.

Well JMS, as usual you have very temperate, dispassionate words of wisdom.

Let's see, get rid of the players, check
Fire the coaches, check
This is because the schedule/conference, check
The team is soft/poorly coached, check
The refs cost us the game...wow, no threads on this, that might be a first.

Tame or not, the above is all ugly and getting lots of responses. So yes, it's the typical, cowardly, pathetic bull****, but it doesn't seem that bad only because it's ******* normal around here. Ah well, time for the bandwagon basketball fans to finally take a hike, baseball and spring football are on tap.

I think he meant it kept us from being better prepared to deal with top notch competition. I agree. We looked dazed and confused for about 30 minutes of the game today.

Too many 15 seeds are beating 2 seeds now.

It just doesn't make sense to blame it all on the conference.

It's really pretty simple.
Can't make a FT.
Can't hit a shot.
Lose the game.

Is everything black and white with you? There are many problems Playing in a ****** conference that masks our problems. 30-4 against poor competition is fools gold. All the things many of us saw that are still wrong with this team were exposed today. With floodlights!

I expected to lose today but not 70-48. This class has a lot left to prove and only one more chance to get it done. After the near miss against Arizona their freshman year I thought this core of players could be really good.

They've been good but not very good and certainly not great. We'll see what happens next year but when this class was signed I really thought they would lead us to at least a couple of sweet sixteens and an elite 8 and maybe even a final 4........

I think you're right. I'm just disappointed that at this point in Jackson's/Black's/Crawford's careers we were so clearly outclassed....

Not sure what's going on other than maybe this class just isn't as good as we all thought they were.
