I should point out that Perez Ford may still be at defensive end for all we know. The online roster is not always accurate regarding position. Rasheen Lemon is still listed at safety and he played linebacker last year, Charles Ivory is listed at corner and he worked with the safeties last season, etc..

That's what I was thinking. I still think Ford can be an absolute beast at DE.

Only five players at safety currently, two of them being seniors.

17 players on the OL, and that's not including Gegner at C. I don't know why some posters were concerned about the lack of depth on the OL before. Especially when only three of those players will be seniors this season.

After this season, the Huskies lose 11 on defense. Five DBs and six on the DL. We will be seeing a lot of fresh faces, and hopefully some of these guys can step up.

3 of those guys are not on scholarship and Lincoln Howard was just moved.

It was not concern for lack of depth this year but 2015 when we will have a total 5 OL who are not FR or RS FR. Now that Howard was moved we will have 6. IMO we should have 10.

The 2013 season hasn't started yet, so why worry about 2015? A lot of things can happen by then.

Because that is what recruiting is about...filling in needs the the team will have in the future. You don't recruit OL out of high school to help with the upcoming two seasons.

We were lucky that Colon and Ness stepped up big time as RS FR.

I'm sure the coaching staff has and will think plenty about position needs. No reason for us fans to worry right now. Lets just hope the team can sustain their success over this next season.

So should we just not discuss anything then? I didn't realize we could only talk about things we thought coaches didn't know.

You're missing the point. It's like discussing who will be the next head coach for the huskies, when the one right now hasn't coached a regular season game yet. Lets talk about what's happening now.

Aren't you the same guy that told us Ford would transfer if he was moved to LB? Can't have it both ways.

A lot of comments here regarding P. Ford. I'm a bit confused about this guy and where he fits in. Was he recruited as a RB or LB? And is he big enough to play at DE? I'm asking because I'm not sure we as deep at RB as some folks may think

Ford was recruited as an "Athlete."

That was a sarcastic statement since this is the second year in a row we have lost highly touted linebackers(Barksdale&Nelson). I don't get why everyone's panties are in a bunch because I said we shouldn't worry about 2015 just yet.

RE: Spring Roster Finally Up
IMO they are giving Ford a shot at RB this spring. If he is not in the top 3 by the end of spring then he will likely get moved back to the D side in the summer.

Agree. Some guys need to see first hand whether he can make it in the role he wants before he can embrace a new role.

RE: Spring Roster Finally Up
They updated some positions on the online roster and Perez Ford is indeed at defensive end. Here are the roster changes I noticed:

Johnny Eagan - from QB to WR
Perez Ford - from RB to DE
Charles Ivory - from CB to S
Rasheen Lemon - from S to LB
Dominique Ware - from CB to S

Whoa, wait just a minute. Are you trying to tell me Barksdale is no longer on the team, when did that happen?
