Rubit is the POY and he deserved to be. But he can't do it alone. He couldn't do it this year and next year he is losing a good chunk of his supporting cast. A cursory reading of their recruiting class suggests that they don't have any "game changing" freshmen coming in. The longer they wait to announce a coach the less of a chance they have to rectify that.

I think Rubit alone is enough to make them solid in a weakened conference next year. Ammons will no doubt step up and be a nice player as well. I don't think they will finish first but we shall see.

You are very correct about one player not doing it alone, and Rubit may not be able to handle it next year. But he is far and away the player I fear the most.
