If we were in and won more NCAA tournament games/matches the off season would go much easier.

I really wish we had a better wrestling program. I remember I went in 04 I'm pretty sure that was the year, I woulda been 13 to the showcase meet, we had a good team then. They honored Denny Hastert and they wrestled Minnesota, we have really fallen since then. Matt will have a tough match. Storley has been pretty impressive the few times I watched him this year. I watch BigTen wrestling every week and wish we were at that level.

Yeah, wrestling isn't very good, but it's nice to see some success. Maybe a few good wrestlers will begin to take notice and start coming to NIU.

I know that all these sports get a portion of our HASF donations. Has anyone ever seen any breakdown of how much of each dollar contributed goes to each sport? I think it would be interesting.

I wonder if adding Iowa State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State & West Virginia to MAC Wrestling would help or hurt NIU's recruiting abilities.

If that were to happen the MAC could very well become the #2 wrestling conference in the nation for most years.

Definitely would be interesting. If I ever am able to donate a large amount I'd probably do the wrestling program as the College of Business does well enough already and football have substantial donations as well. Mine as well try and help the 3 things I like/have educated me.

Adding those programs would be a huge boost for NIU and the MAC.

Even if our wrestling team is in the same situation as the Indiana or Kentucky football teams.
