FGCU this weekend
How do you all think we will do this weekend? They did sweep a ranked Florida team.

If ETSU can win 1, I'll be happy.

That's kind of what I was thinking. Home field has to get us at least one...maybe.

FGCU just lost to a non-D1 team recently. Mop them up!

Wish I could make it to one of these games. The first true test for our bucs. Do we start Freeman for the opener or wait till the rubber match?

They also swept Florida in Gainesville, the first team to do that in nearly a decade.

Win or lose, it beats watching basketball.

Skole tempted fate, and fate pounced; he shouldn't have let Krieg go out there for a ninth inning.

Knapp is a tremendous pitcher, as well. I was impressed that we were able to get anything at all off of him. Should be interesting to see what the Bucs can do in the doubleheader today.

Bucs only win 1 of 3 this weekend against FGCU.

ETSU better go 40-0 next season and win the national title in basketball. I won't accept anything less. If you don't agree, you are part of the old guard and you need to change.

[/smartass]

FGCU is on the verge of the top 25 in baseball and ETSU is not that good yet. Nothing wrong with being realistic.

Doane pitched a great game today in the win (though we did get lucky by their costly error)

I am aware of that, however we need to stop the "half a loaf" mentality, and expect and demand the best to go forward to challage our athletic programs!

RE: FGCU this weekend
Last nights game was an exciting game and it really came down to the wire at the bottom of the 9th. We were a run away from the tie and a double away from winning it. The two HR crushes during the 4th(?) really won it for fgcu.. I was surprised that the Bucs never lost their morale and really clawed their way into keeping it close. It was a loss but a healthy loss.. They never gave up and nearly won.

RE: FGCU this weekend
All three games were one-run games, and we got two outstanding pitching performances from Krieg and Doane. If those games were against Auburn, we'd be talking about how Skole has really turned things around this season and made the team competitive, but they were against Florida Gulf Coast, so clearly we should expect better and be ignorant of the fact that Florida Gulf Coast is ranked by the NCBWA and Auburn is not. Clearly.
