TV Deal Officially signed
From the MW Website:
http://www.themwc.com/genrel/032013aac.html

From the Idaho Statesman:
http://blogs.idahostatesman.com/boise-st...nus-games/

CBS gets 1st 8 Fb games. Epsn get BSU home games. CBS/ESPN will alternate up to 44 games. Rest will be on MW digital network (Web) or local/regional carriers.

Are most Mtn. fans pleased with the deal? Is it better/worse/about-the-same as what you thought it would be?

This deal is terrible! Outside of Boise State there is little guaranteed national exposure for the rest. The paying of those appearance bonuses could virtually make the share of some of the members just slightly over a million.

Yes. I believe most of us are. We'll still need to negoiated the CCG game. In addition, we'll get some more pennies for the 3rd tier that'll be on the Web and/or regional carriers.
However, the exposure even without BSU will be greater than before especially for basketball to be on EPSN family.
As for the $$$. Without BSU/SDSU all 10 members were going to get $1 million/team anyway. With BSU and SDSU in the fold and the ESPN bump up in $$ for the bonus system, members may be able to get more than what they were going to get anyway. Yes, BSU is setup to get more but it was nothing different really than what the MW offer to them before they made their 'official' exit. In addition, all MW teams stand to gain from the setup BSU created for the conference, if they invested into their football programs to raise their profile they will stand to gain more in addition to BSU.

If any MW team makes the BCS game, they get 1/2 of the bowl earnings to the MW. That is a pretty good incentive if a program wants to get better which can award around $6 million to the teams that is represented.

Sounds like both are being shafted (apologize for the wording but true).
