Would you consider adding them to the Big East Conference? I mentioned it because their are rumors spreading through posters that such a thing may happen. I just don't see any of the major football conferences wanting them at all. So, they may have no choice but consider the possibilty in order to help keep their bread butter sport basketball strong.

Memphis won't drop its football program.

No thank you. I'd rather have VCU.

I think it would be a good add. A 14 team conference with VCU, and Memphis would be stronger than a 12-team conference. Puts the conference on more of an even footing with the ACC and B1G (the only real competition for the top basketball conference). And it would let the conference sponsor more sports, which would help the athletic departments out tremendously.

Only downside is that adding lower-rung academic public schools might degrade the identity of the conference.
