There is a team that may have gotten screwed worse than the Rockets, and a league that got screwed worse than the MAC. Duquesne finished 36 in the RPI but did not get an invitation. The Atlantic 10 included Dayton (RPI 12), St. Joseph (32), Duquesne (36), Charlotte (52), and Fordham (69) but only got two teams into the tournament.
