UK now up 27-26. I guess the UK team realized that yes, they were expected to play in the NIT and it wasn't a bad dream.

I guess if the NIT is a bad dream, losing to Robert Morris in the first round would be Freddie Krueger on steroids.

Conspiracy or not? The game is in Caliparis hometown. CM Newton, the former Kentucky AD is chair of the NIT selection committee

Kentucky doesn't own their arena. Maybe the reason they didn't play at home is as simple as that Ripped arena was unavailable.

Oh well, If Ashley Judd can't be there, it doesn't matter where they play.

Yes, it is unavailable. It's hosting the NCAA tournament.

So Cal knew they would have to play on the road. Just a big coincidence to play in his hometown, like maybe someone was jp manufacturing a story.

I saw they played Robert Morris, and thought they could give UK some fits, but I didn't expect this. Hope Robert Morris can pull it off.

It goes to show that the second place team in a "mid-major" can beat the middle of the pack Goliath (like Kentucky). I am still pissed there are 8-10 teams from the big 10 in the tournament.

Robert Morris was the first place team in the NEC. They just got upset in their conference tournament.

I realize that but the "experts" are complaining about Kentucky, Virginia, UTK, etc not getting into the tournament. No mention of USM. I just do not like middle of the pack "Big Conference" teams getting in over teams in the "Mid Major Conference" that have beaten most people on their schedule.

You must have listened to different experts. After the SeC tournament, I didn't hear anyone say Kentucky deserved to be in. I heard a lot about USM being on the bubble.

I thought the non power6 had pretty good representation this year. I also didn't think USM deserved a bid. They didn't play anyone.

USMs ooc kept them out. Now they do have a difficult time getting quality opponents but they still could schedule smarter. I did hear a couple of folks mention Kentucky but for the most part the National folks agreed that KY was undeserving.
