Aside from the Gator Chomp (which was during a stoppage in play), what do you consider taunting? The Landshark? The football team has done that on defense after big plays since 2008. It's not taunting. It's not even directed toward anyone.
i dont think he is a thug, an idiot that can shoot the 3, but thug nah. Too big a wuss to be a thug. if he played for us i would be embarrassed.
With Andy Kennedy tolerating this it makes one wonder just what all JK did to get booted at Sippy

So you were ok with him running up on the Auburn fans popping his jersey?
Yes. They'd been giving him crap the entire game. He was giving a little back. No one got slapped. Henderson and the students were having fun with each other. And the old guy had a good story to tell the next morning at Opelika Baptist how he put that young punk in his place.
The Gator Chomp was over the top, but not classless. It was during a stoppage of play and not directed toward the Florida bench.
The Landshark IS NOT TAUNTING. Watch a football game. It's a split second action NOT directed to another player that I hope continues forever now that Tony Fein is no longer with us. I think Henderson is the perfect person to take it to another sport. Now, if he'd just learn to do it correctly.
I find it so odd that only the media and Ole Miss fans love this guy. College basketball needs a guy like Marshall Henderson to give it some excitement and the media is smart enough to realize this. He very well may be one and done in the tournament, but he'll do his best to make it one to remember.
How is this taunting? (RIP Tony Fein #47)

RE: [Marshall Henderson a Thug?]
MH kinda looks a little bit like a young Charles Manson. His whole schtick is like a "bad guy" on Sat morning rasslin. It gives the fans/ alum of a school with a storied basketball tradition like Ole Miss (1st NCAA bid in 11 years) something to get excited about. Lord knows its once in a blue moon. After Wisconsin takes them down, they'll be back to the NIT for the next few seasons.
Are we playing them next season? Would be kinda fun to take the team we will have down to Oxford, fill up 1/2 the arena with blue, and run them out of their own gym by about 20.

So he intentionally pisses people off for attention. Sounds like a cool guy. He'd fit right in with some of the posters here.

He's one of those SOBs that if he's yours, you love him; if he's not, you don't.
I encourage everyone to heed Harold Byrd's words during the middle of the Plush Club hey days.
"These are 18,19, year old kids and kids do the darndest things."

You don't think playing college ball should hold you to a higher standard? The spotlight is on him constantly and he still acts like a fool, unfortunately he doesn't have the luxury of being at a party where most 18,19,20 year olds do the darndest things, he's on ESPN. I haven't seen any other players act like the way he does seemingly every game.

Reb, running over to a fan base and popping your jersey at them is not "having fun". It is being a ******* simply to be a *******. It is ok to call it that. Just cause he is a reb doesn't mean you have to defend his antics.

His father is proud of his antics. He even said he was proud of what he did to the Auburn students. So...the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. So, who was the gator chomp aimed at?
The media love him because it gives them some drama to talk about...that's all. It's surprising that the admin allow him to keep his antics up as they always seem to have some bad light on them. Every year there is a player at some school that stands out that is constantly ridiculed by students...Adam Morrison, Tyler Hansborough, Scotty McBee...and you never see those kids act the way Henderson does to the student section.
The kid is a tool. I highly doubt he is going to make at any professional level because of his antics. When I look at his eyes all I see is a pyscho...he's going to get in major trouble!

I still think he could make a foreign team. If not as a player, as a mascot.

Ole Miss might need some excitement, but I don't call his taunting behavior "excitement." It reeks of insecurity.
The media loved Rodman, too.
You said it all when you said you find it odd that only the media and Ole Miss love this guy. Do you think it may just be that every other school recognizes classless jackazzery when they see it? This is not cute, mature, or endearing. He is representing a major university. The Administration and his coach should have more pride and sense.
