CUSA Brothers - I need you input!
Hey guys. I am doing a little study and need your honest input.
I need the following information for each school. I need real numbers or close, nothing inflated. I appreciate the help. Thanks!
I need each schools -
Number of members in your booster club -
Number of basketball and football season tix sales -
Average attendance for football and basketball -
Your schools athletic budget and if any of it is state funded
Last one - based on donor giving, do you feel you get a good ROI from your school on the money you spend to support it?
Thanks Again!

Here's USAToday's athletics budgets database for 2011:
http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/sports/co...54955804/1
For Charlotte:
49er Club members: 3850 (per club website rankings)
Basketball Season Tickets: Not Sure
Football Season Tickets: 44** Seat Licenses sold (only way to get season tickets currently)
Basketball attendance: 6500
Football attendance: NA
Athletic Budget: $18,624,105 with no funds from the state
I feel that I've been very well treated by the 49er Club.

I suppose that we can say that no program uses no state funds until proven otherwise if we're going to ignore "school funds" from the USA Today numbers. I'm OK with that since it's hard to break out the below classifications.
From the above link, USA Today classifies school funds as:
Includes both direct and indirect support from the university, including state funds, tuition, tuition waivers etc. as well as federal Work Study amounts for athletes. It also includes university-provided support such as administrative costs, facilities and grounds maintenance, security, risk management, utilities, depreciation and debt service.

It is hard to find hard numbers, but this is close:
Number of members in your booster club - 9K (10K in student pirate club)
Number of basketball and football season tix sales - BB-3K FB-23K
Average attendance for football and basketball - BB-5492 FB-47013
Your schools athletic budget and if any of it is state funded 34mil
Last one - based on donor giving, do you feel you get a good ROI from your school on the money you spend to support it?

Please see highlighted answers below.

I need the following information for each school. I need real numbers or close, nothing inflated. I appreciate the help. Thanks!
I need each schools -
Number of members in your booster club - 2883
Number of basketball and football season tix sales - Basketball: A little over 5000 (arena 8424). Football: A little over 14,000, with over 3000 waiting list applicants (avg 3 tix per applicant). Stadium capacity 20,000
Average attendance for football and basketball - FB sold out every home game we have ever had (20,000). Basketball: low 6000's, down from pervious years due to team struggling in 2012.
Your schools athletic budget and if any of it is state funded. Believe it is around $34MM, and state support is provided. Expected to grow with move to FBS, obviously
Last one - based on donor giving, do you feel you get a good ROI from your school on the money you spend to support it? I post on a sports message board, so there is significant bias - but yes, we use it as family entertainment for our extended family.
Thanks Again!
