Denver, UTEP, UCF, ECU and Georgia...

Those are USM's best wins.

Boise State won at Creighton, plus beat UNLV, Colorado St., and San Diego State... All NCAA tourney teams...

Now remind me who USM beat this year.

Plus the MWC was the top rated conference this year.

It's rather eery how much this situation reminds me of our own shortcoming against Louisville in 2005. Both the farewell tour for the winner. Both losing teams were getting left behind. Both games came down to free throws... Ours was a bit more obvious. And I thought both losing teams deserved to be in. Sucks for them... I feel like I've been there before.

this is 100% correct. their november/december scheduling is shameful and has been for years. they have GOT to get in some respectable tournaments and swallow hard and hit the road and play name schools to get any kind of respect.

Nearly all the wins you mentioned for Boise aren't non-conference games. That's all I was saying. I guess we'll never know who they could have beat, but they looked good against us.

a shame, but lack of quality wins did them in. They're a good team. Scheduling is important. Better luck next year!
