Don't know much about VCU but it sounds like it might be a bad matchup based on comments from the MAC board.

In WBB Akron's blew a halftime lead to lose and Miami lost to the Illini.
Only Toledo has excelled with a double-digit win!

Not a good showing for Akron or the MAC conference...... this kinda exposes the weakness of MAC hoops

I heard Akron almost was going to forfiet because of the flu.

It's shameful that Shaka Smart was continuing to run the full court press up 40 against a shorthanded Akron team. If I was Akron I'd put one of my guys with the flu out there to cough all over VCU.

Disagree, it's the tourney. They play the old Arkansas 40 minutes of hell style which is awesome. You gotta play your game come tourney time. Sucks for Akron but it is what it is

In all relity, you don't forfiet an NCAA tournament game because of the flu. Even if you only have 5 players available you play that team would always be remembered in March Madness history.
