McMurphy: Access Bowls to be Cotton, Fiesta, Chik-fil-A
Quote:Brett McMurphy ‏@McMurphyESPN
BCS says 31 bowls may bid for right to host semifinals in playoff. Doesn't matter: 3 open spots will go to Fiesta, Cotton & Chick-fil-A

Not that there was much doubt in any other regard, but here's some confirmation.

Glad to hear the Peach Bowl is on that list. Would love to see ECU be able to make another trip to a Peach Bowl in the future.

Glad to hear some decisions are being made on the bowl front.

August 2014 is less than 18 months away and conferences are going to have to scramble to get new bowl agreements lined up.

I wish Chick-Fil-A had never bought out the name of that bowl.

Plus, Atlanta getting a brand spanking new retractable roof dome...that clinch it for them.

Would you expect anything different from fat ass Americans? Overpriced Processed Chicken Bowl > Healthy Regionally Historic Fruit Bowl.

They are already replacing the Georgia Dome?

Yup...Arthur Blank is basically paying for most of it...the Falcons are getting a new stadium.

Couldn't they call it the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. I mean, the other bowls use a brand, and a historically recognizable name (Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, AT&T Cotton Bowl). Just keeping it the Chick-fil-A Bowl is lame.

No kidding, maybe they should change the names of some of the other bowl games to reflect the way we really eat....

The Orange Bowl could become the Fruit By The Foot Bowl. Why eat real fruit when you can have fruit-flavored corn syrup instead?

The Sugar Bowl is fine just the way it is. Out in Arizona, just drop Fiesta and call it the Tostitos Bowl.

The San Francisco Fight Hunger by eating Tofu and soybean and sending real food to the 3rd world Bowl. Only in California.

No, the irony of the "Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl" is perfect just the way it is. It's subtle irony. It's enhanced by TV shots of fans at the game chowing down on garlic fries, gourmet hot dogs, and $15 beers.

Especially since Chick-Fil-A pushes their peach milkshakes in advertising every year.

I think we have our answer--the Chik-Fil-A Peach Milkshake Bowl!

Kraft also makes Grey Poupon, which would be appropriate for the foo-foo gourmet sausages at AT&T Park (where that bowl game is played).
