Wow, 46 point loss. Jesus, that is a toughie.... The Zips lose Brian Walsh, Zeke Marshall, Alex Abreu, & Chauncey Gilliam. With those laughs, I can't see them being the MAC favorite next year.

Hard to see thing getting better for U of A anytime soon. They'll get hit by the State for their graduation rate and enrollments are expected to drop across Ohio because of smaller HS graduating classes. UA, from the article, appears to have a student retention problem.

Does anyone wonder if the spending party is about to end at Akron?

VCU stopped playing shortly after the above pic. bad for the MAC, but never sorry to see the zits get smacked.

That record lasted about an hour until Syracuse put the finishing touches on their 47 point win over Montana.

You think Akron will print shirts that say, "At least we're not Montana"?

Akron will still hold the record for the worst loss between 5/12 as Syracuse is a 4 seed.

How many of their fans expected to beat 'Cuse? Even they didn't think they'd stay on the court with the Orangemen, but I'm sure there were many zips thinking they had a chance at a run in the NCAAs.

I don't really ascribe to the idea of "better for the conference." I've never seen a team from the Mid-Maj, or the MAC for that matter, go deep in the NCAA Tournament and the rest of the conference improve from it. If anything, the rest of the conference drags said team back to the gutter. I guess with that in mind, last night was rather amusing.

Loved watching the Zips get killed last night. You would think it would have been more of a game considering KD knows a thing or two about his opponent.
